About Erica
I am deeply inspired by the beauty in the world around us. My work focuses on capturing the magic of a moment. The elated feeling of standing in front of a stunning sunset, the peace and calm of being surrounded by nature, the hopefulness of seeing life emerge in the spring.
I stumbled accidentally in to the arts. I never considered myself a creative type. In high school I fought, and thankfully lost, a battle to drop the art credit. I took an introductory art class and painting and it changed the course of my life. I loved painting so much that I decided to attend art school where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma. Since then I’ve worked full-time as an artist, most recently showcasing my art in the newly renovated East Gallery at the Oklahoma State Capitol. I now reside in Chandler, Oklahoma, where I garden, run a farmstand and home studio, and take inspiration from rural life.
